Ski Chamonix

Ski Chamonix

Chamonix is one of Europe best ski resorts, situated underneath the majestic Mont Blanc mountain, Western Europe's highst at 4,810m. Chamonix consists of six ski villagers and towns. These being Les Houches, Chamonix itown itself (Brevent), Les Praz (La Flgere), Argentiere (Grands Montets), La Tour and Vallorcine

Famous for its majestic peaks, amazing off piste skiing, and some of the stepest and deepest, it is much more than just an advanced skiers resort with Les Houches and La Tour providing great ski areas for beginners.

When you ski Chamonix, it is hardly surprising to find that it probably attracts more pro-skiers and snowboarders than anywhere else in the world. The on piste is some of the best in Europe, the off piste probably the best in the world. In terms of marked runs, Chamonix boasts 740km of runs, 14 being green runs, 40 blue, 28 red and 12 black, so there is plenty to keep all Chamonix ski groups happy, not just the experts.

If you are a beginner or an intermediate, don't be put off by Chamonix's 'macho' image which whilst justified in respect of the backcountry skiing, doesn't reflect the on-piste when skiing Les Houches or Le Tour for example. Les Houches here in the Chamonix Valley has in particular worked extensively to ensure beginners are well catered for with a great nursery slope (green) that includes a travelator (moving carpet) and a slow moving chair that has been especially adapted for added safety for very young children. There are also some great confidence building blue runs close by so a natural progression and improvement is easily facilitated.

For the intermediate and advanced skiers, here at Chamonix Exclusive we also help you get the most out of your Chamonix ski holiday by providing ski orienteering twice a week. This allows you to quickly see and get the best out of your ski holiday in Chamonix as we match the best run to your preferences and abilities, as well as show you some of the very best mountain restaurants that you might otherwise have missed!

Off the pist Chamonix is a great historic town, and there are plenty of non ski activities to enjoy including to name a few; ice skating, swimming, sledge rides, huski rides, paragliding, snow shoeing - not to mention the many boutique shops and restaurants that adorn this beautiful ski resort.
